Are you concerned that someone will steal your SkyTrak? It’s certainly an unnerving thought. Your SkyTrak is unexpectedly and devastatingly gone when your crew arrives to work one morning.

Where does one even begin to try to meet production on a tight job while absent your SkyTrak, the means to move everything with?

Fortunately, it’s just a hypothetical scenario. It makes one think. And shudder.

Consider this easy to follow, simple and low cost method of protecting your SkyTrak from thieves.

At the end of the day, start the SkyTrak and lower the boom.

Then turn the wheels all the way right, or left. Shut it off and remove the key. Loop a 5′ long heavy chain through the steering wheel and both grab handles.

Pull the slack out of the chain and join the links with a HD Master Lock.

It’s not foolproof, but most thieves will not have the means or invest the time to cut the heavy chain.

You may rest comfortably that your SkyTrak will be there, ready for service each morning.
